Hi - I’m Sue Roxborough

I’m a Canterbury-based artist creating bespoke murals for shopfront windows, homes and businesses, alongside original artworks and small studio art experiences. I simply love making art.

Whether I’m painting a mural, developing a mixed-media piece or exploring ideas alongside children in my studio, I’m happiest when I’m experimenting, solving creative problems and seeing ideas come to life.

Alongside my own creative practice, I love sharing that passion through creative studio classes. While many of my classes are designed for children and young people, I also enjoy creating opportunities for adults to explore their own creativity.

Whether I’m painting a shopfront, creating an original artwork or nurturing creativity in my studio, my goal is the same—to create something that leaves people smiling.

Get Arty with Sue

Get Arty with Sue offers our young ones a colourful, welcoming space to explore their imagination, build confidence, and enjoy making art in their own unique way.

With small class sizes, child-led projects and a gentle, supportive approach, each lesson encourages creativity, curiosity, and hands-on discovery — from painting and drawing to clay, collage, printmaking, mixed media, and more.

Pricing and Details

For small focused groups:
One-hour sessions at $45 per child, per session, running for one school term.

For 1-on-1 sessions with Sue:
One-hour sessions at $50 per child, per session, running for one school term.

Holiday Programme
Holiday programmes will be available at given dates, please check back for info or sign up for notices.

Sessions for 16 years old and above

Get Arty with Sue for 16+

Take a little time out from the everyday and enjoy a relaxed, welcoming creative experience with Sue.

Each gathering offers something different. You might find yourself painting outdoors en plein air, experimenting with colour and mixed media in the studio, or enjoying a creative session combined with music, wine, nibbles and questionable conversation.

No previous art experience is needed. These sessions are designed to be enjoyable, sociable and pressure-free, I'll be around to provide guidance and encouragement while giving you plenty of room to explore your own ideas.

Come along on your own or bring a friend, try something new and leave with your creation.

New themes, dates and experiences will be introduced throughout the year.
